"Yoga is an internal practice. the rest is just a circus.... So whether you do your first downward dog at 14 or 44, it’s not your history but your presence on your mat that counts."
K. Pattabhi Jois
Did you know it's been over a year since I've been to an actual class?
I practice every single day just as naturally as I brush my teeth. My practice imbedded itself in me, long before I could stand on my head.
But sometimes we need to go back to the book, the philosophy. To see the beauty in the practice. In life itself. To know that the crap that the media and our mind feeds us can be so destructive.
But our mind and hands are the most powerful and necessary tools to define our life. To make our own life ... and that of others - beautiful.
This is why I’ve decided to start teaching again.
There is such a need for mind body connection in the corporate world. It helps us in our day to day productivity but also in our personal life.
We are balanced, have more energy, handle stress better and are day to day just more happy.
We have fallen in to the trap of placing productivity and success above personal care. But a simple 15 minutes a day can start to have life changing benefits.
I will actually be teaching a class at Thinclab on Dec 6 for this exact reason.
Yoga is not about your skill level or your capacity to perform. It is about focus and dedication to improving the self… body mind and action.
I know that my practice is the reason that I continue to persist and achieve in many ways that people thought I never would.
In business and in life.
