Hair Care is the New Skin Care

How many of you reading this read the labels of the food you put in your trolley? Do you opt for natural skincare and vegan cosmetics where possible?

Ok, how many of you have color or chemical treated hair? Purple shampoos and hair serums with an ingredient list as long as a takeout menu?

The hair … just like your skin is porous and absorbs whatever you put on it. Not to mention whatever you are putting on your scalp is being absorbed… into your face.

We have a solution! We know how amazing OrganiQ products are for the skin, but there are a few that are just as spectacular on your hair. Some of the best available natural ingredients for luscious locks. And for Shampoo and Conditioner … we ALWAYS go Davroe.

Native Honey Scrub as a Scalp Treatment

If your hair is feeling particularly dry and damaged in this weather, our Native Honey Scrub is the ideal repairing treatment.

How it works:

Coconut oil keeps your hair moist and soft. The moisture-retaining properties of Coconut oil helps to prevent hair breakage and keeps the hair intensely hydrated. The fatty acids of coconut oil penetrate the scalp more deeply to keep them soft and shiny.

Kangaroo Island Ligurian Bee Honey is a natural humectant and helps to retain further moisture. This means that it sucks moisture into the hair and prevents it from escaping. This property of honey is particularly useful for people with dry hair and those that need an extra boost of moisture and hydration.

Also being an emollient, honey smoothens and softens hair, and brings back any lost sheen and shine to your hair.

How to use it:

Massage this mixture into your scalp in circular motions using your fingertips. Leave it on for some time and then rinse, Cleanse & Condition as usual.

Cleanse and Condition as a Leave-in Serum

How it works:

The balance of Coconut and Olive oils are rich conditioning wild-grown oils. Free from pesticides and pressed by hand.

Both fight dryness, with a coconut oil treatment being particularly effective in preventing frizz. Research in a 2003 issue of the "Journal of Cosmetic Science," said coconut oil penetrates deep into the hair shaft and, when used as a pre- and post-wash treatment also protects hair from protein loss

How to use it:

Section your hair off and, starting from the bottom section, let down more hair as you go.

Once your hair is completely covered, clip it up into a bun or make a ponytail and leave it in overnight.

When you wake up in the morning, take your hair down and shower. Wash you’re your favorite Davroe shampoo once, and then 2-3 times with conditioner. Make sure there is no oil left and then spritz with either OrganiQ Hydrating Rose Mist or Calming Lavender Mist.

Rose and Lavender Mist as a Hair Mist

I have to admit, until recently I didn’t actually realize hair mists were a thing, Sure – great smelling sprays and treatments. But a perfume – just for your hair?

But when you think about it, your hair is with you every day, you can't take it off like a t-shirt or blazer. It’s the first point of contact when someone hugs you close, or kisses your cheek.

 How to use it

I have started using the Rose Mist every day. Just a quick spritz before I leave the house. Don’t worry, it’s not enough to make your hair frizz. Just enough to make you smell like the sweetest springtime Rose garden. All-day long.
